Stitch Service / Workshop notes

What to bring for machine service

Give the technician enough information to reproduce the problem.

Start with the brand and model.

Take a clear photo of the model label and describe the symptoms, when they started and which fabric, thread and settings you were using. Ask whether the shop supports the exact model before travelling.

Follow the shop’s packing instructions.

Ask whether to include the foot control, power cord, bobbin, presser foot or an embroidery unit. Instructions vary. Label loose accessories and include contact details when requested.

Ask what happens next.

Clarify the diagnostic fee, estimate approval, repair authorization and collection process. Do not assume the machine will be repaired while you wait.
